The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center

This was a good experience. I was surprised that I had a treadmill in my room and wish o had known about it before I traveled so I could have been prepared to use it. But the room was quiet and clean and check in experience was good.

When I stayed here for a conference, they were nothing but kind when I requested to change rooms because I am scared of heights. I was put on the 10th floor but I requested the 5th floor, they easily changed my room and I love them for that. The rooms however, my first night in the hotel was fine. The next morning after they "cleaned" I found my towels were still dirty and my floor was wet. Everything else was wonderful! You should totally stay here if you're stopping in Kansas City. Also visit their St. Louis and Atlanta location!!

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Westin Kansas City at Crown Center. The room wasn't luxe, but when we had an issue with our door lock the staff promptly moved us to a new room. The onsite restaurant offers a great breakfast menu and the staff there were very pleasant. In short, it was Westin employees that made this a great stay.

We stayed 4 nights at the Westin Crown Plaza. Definitely the most convenient spot around the area. The hotel itself is connected to the crow plaza. Indoor shopping and restaurants at your convenience. It also connected to Union Station across the street. This was unexpected for me. Loving walking through the skybridge and enjoy the street view. We got a suite at the corner with Crown Plaza view. Wonderful to see all the Christmas lights and ice rink. The hotel provides 2 bottles water daily. Dining in breakfast at lobby (vouchers or self pay), not buffet. We also got vouchers for 2 dinner appetizers but did not use any. The room is renovated. Bathroom is equipped with body wash/shampoo/hair dryer etc. Water pressure is not the best but hot enough for me. Bed is comfortable. They offered a very thick comforter on top, not my favorite but it works. TV, coffee station, refrigerator, desk, lounge chairs, pretty much anything you need. The staff are all very nice. Valet parking is a little crazy when it’s high volume. I would recommend this hotel for visitors. Great service and great room.

We stayed one night at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center during our US road trip, and it turned out to be a great choice. The hotel lobby is nice, spacious, and welcoming. There’s even a souvenir shop right at the lobby area that sells not just souvenirs, but also a good range of beverages and tidbits — very convenient if you need something quick without stepping out. The reception staff were professional and friendly, and check-in was smooth and efficient. Valet parking is available as well, which makes things easy for road trippers like us. The location is excellent. One of the best features is that the hotel links directly to a small shopping mall from the lobby. The mall has a good range of restaurants and shops to browse, making it very convenient for meals and casual shopping without having to travel far. That direct access is definitely a nice touch. Our room was big and spacious, with a comfortable and cozy bed that gave us a good night’s rest after a long drive. The bathroom was well maintained and functional. The only small downside is that the bathtub is a little shallow, so it’s slightly difficult to enjoy a proper deep soak. The gym is truly impressive — easily one of the better equipped hotel gyms we’ve seen. There’s a good range of cardio machines, and we didn’t have to wait to use any equipment. The weight and machine area is big and spacious, with a solid variety of machines covering different muscle groups. For those who care about keeping up with workouts while traveling, this gym definitely delivers. The gym floor also connects to an outdoor heated pool, and there’s a small indoor soak pool as well — a nice bonus. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely choose this hotel again if we return to Kansas City. Great location, good facilities, and a comfortable experience from start to finish.

First, the staff was excellent! All of them helped me with any questions I may have had and made sure I was happy before moving on. The location was great; being connected to a mall was very convenient. The lobby was very nice and the mezzanine level that had the waterfall and Christmas tree was lovely. I was very disappointed in that the coffee shop closed around 1pm, forcing you to walk to the Starbucks in the mall. The restaurant was subpar for a Westin. It was so small and the menu was very limited and very disappointing. The rooms were standard, not the type of Westin room I have stayed in before. It was clean and the housekeeping staff was great but I expect the rooms to be 5-star; this was more like a 3-star. Room service was horrific. They served their food in takeout containers in a brown paper bag. A "pot" of coffee came in a cardboard container similar to that of Dunkin. The omelette and potatoes were not good at all.

We did an overnight stay to come into town to see Hamilton. We got in early, around 1:00 PM to have some lunch and do some exploring, and our room was ready! Nice, spacious rooms with comfy beds. The ability to literally walk into the Crown Center Mall from the inside was very cool. We didn't utilize the dining or the pool since we had other priorities for the evening, but my two teen girls were so impressed by the place. The parking garage situation is a little confusing, but worked out just fine. It's also just a couple minutes to walk to the KC Streetcar pickup, and we utilized that to get to dinner in the Power & Light district. I will absolutely book here again next time we want to do a KC outing.

Great location, easy access to Union station, museum, etc and street car is right across the street to get to city market and country club plaza. Phenomenal customer service Every time I interact with Alissa and Kasey! They are always so welcoming, always greet me with a great smile, and are very resourceful. These two are top tier! Rooms: are spacious, clean, comfortable beds, the stand up shower great, the bath tubs: the water doesn't empty from the tub so easily. Food: Great breakfast options, esp the French toast. Snack: queso dip with chips are a good snack. Gym and pool amenities are also nice, various options for gym equipment. Ambiance: Love the waterfall plant wall on the 2nd floor, this is my favorite place of the hotel. Housekeeping staff and maintenance have also been wonderful! One of the front desk staff could use some improvement in customer service however I can't let one bad apple ruin it. Thanks again for such a wonderful stay, Kasey and Alissa are true gems!!!
